Retain

I've been with the union since two thousand and eight. I've been with the union since twenty ten. I've been in the union for twenty eight years.

Twenty four. Looking for six more.

My one son is a president of the local. The other one's retired. I have four grandsons in it and one nephew. And I stick around because it was the right thing to do, the benefits, the wages.

I was always busy on, doesn't matter what was I doing, I always enjoy every aspect of our job. Union members have more job security, they have more opportunity for advancement and much better wages. When I joined in 'eight, a lot of people wanted all their money on the check. And I said, Well, what are you gonna do when you get old?

When I first started, I wasn't even thinking about the pension. When I got to where I was getting closer, like ten years left, I was like, oh, that's great. I have some employees that we've worked together since twenty thirteen and have grown to where we become family. You knew if you were getting beat up, the other guy was getting beat up.

So it really didn't, you work together and it was great. It was great. I wouldn't work for anything other than a union. They take care of my family.

They feed my family. They feed me. They keep my generational wealth coming in and hopefully for more to come.

Honestly, the union is one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. And I'm very confident that I will stay in the union for the rest of my life.
