Kemper Auto Mural Project

Transcript

In Texas, roads connect more than places. They bring people together, especially in Plano.

The city embodies connection and community spirit.

It has historic charm and a modern growing community.

We honor the culture, the arts and food. So when it came time to pick the next location for Kemperado mural project, there was no better choice.

Because for Kemperado, the Hispanic community, our customers, team members, our agents. Together, we'll continue strengthening these connections and building on the trust we've earned every day.

When I first started the business, we started working at home. We were kind of the first agency, Hispanic female agent on the east side of Plano. So we've had a long relationship with Kemper. We love what we do and we care for the customers.

So when we do murals and we do it in our own backyard, I think it really brings the community together where it's our customers, our agents, our employees. It's a huge impact on everybody.

I was excited. I was like, I felt blessed that they came to me and asked me if I was interested in something like this.

This mural represents Lorena's story, her background, her family's story of resilience and just strength and everything they've built for themselves.

I feel like we're giving back to the community, you know, to the people here.

So I really want to do it with clients that I that have a mission that I believe in and make it worth for me to put all of my creativity into.

And they're gonna feel a little bit, you know, with more pride and with more honor that we actually took the time to to do something because Plano doesn't have a whole lot of Hispanic heritage events.

The whole purpose of this mural is to celebrate Hispanic culture and also celebrate Lorena and her legacy and her family's legacy.

Because it is a feeling of pride to have something as beautiful as that on our building.

It's an amazing feeling to know that, you know, there's something here that kind of represents the Latin community. It feels great to be a part of that.

There are three things that I think that are really part of the Hispanic culture: food, language, and art. As a Texan, it makes me super, super proud. Kemper serves our community, and they also support projects like this.

Nakedives will help them understand that they are important, know, that we do care, that we're giving something back to them, that it does matter, you know, that we're here for them.
